Dear Jed,
I started writing this blog back in December, when you were asleep on me, but at the time Daddy came home because Saxon, Poes to you, had got separated from him. So, i had to wake you up and we bundled you up and we went out to look while Daddy went out on his bike. I was quite upset when i was getting you dressed as i was worried about Poes and you just looked at me and gave me a big hug, which was so lovely. We then went out in the dark, without a torch as i was in such a hurry and i kept calling for Saxon. You also kept calling out "Po Po" it was so sweet... And we found him you and I!! He just came trotting up the road towards us :-)
This photo was taken when we all got home, very happy and relieved.
I'm telling you this now though because it just struck me how compassionate you were and how proud i was.
Time just races by though baby because now it's mid February and you are 20m old already.
I was thinking the other day (Pre-wedding random thinking) about how I'm getting so many wrinkles but then i thought that actually they are laughter lines... Because i don't I think I've smiled as much in all my life as i have in the last 20m. You are a constant source of happiness and amusement and I'm very grateful!
Your speech is really coming along, you can say lots of things now... Although some need a little bit of translation. Not for us, we know what you are trying to say, but for others.
You said Dadda long before you ever said Mama, but now you say it a lot and I LOVE IT! You also give the best hugs ever. Sometimes you just throw your arms around me and it's so sweet. Plus whenever i hug your Dad you run up and hug both of our legs. Adorable.
You love saying Tactor, Bye, Dadda, Mama, PoPo, Purple, Turtle, Gone, Bawl (ball), Fro (throw), Door, Bibby and your favourite No.
I keep remarking though how much you understand, it astounds me!
The other day you were feeding Saxon and every time he took the food off you your face was one of amazement, so cute.
Right now you are busy chatting away with Daddy playing with jigsaws and Postman Pat, who's currently a big favourite.
You are becoming such a confident little man and we love you to the moon and back.
Love always,
Mama x
